Cerasus is an enterprise-class development platform that enables any company using RFID, barcode or mobile data devices to extend the reach and value of their applications. Inventory, assets or time can be tracked and monitored from any location and in real time.

Cerasus was designed specifically to integrate handheld technology with a company's existing and future enterprise applications. This Java-based platform has the ability to interface with and support any software, program or corporate standards a client may require. In addition, it gives your company the ability to customize applications, interfaces and tasks that are unique to your business. With Cerasus as your platform and conduit, data no longer needs to be saved, sent, opened, filed and stored. Devices can seamlessly communicate with back office systems, multiple personnel and locations around the globe. All in one fluid and instantaneous step.

Cerasus hides the complexities of the device native API for bar-code scanning, mobile printing, HTTP file transfer, battery and RF signal strength indicators and more. Even the most non-technical employee will find solutions powered by Cerasus easy to navigate and use. Cerasus combines a familiar Windows user interface with powerful middleware that runs in a Java Servlet Container. This model enables rapid solutions development and automated application provisioning of mobile devices. Servers and field devices communicate over the standard HTTP(S) protocol in a typical request/response model. Cerasus uses what we call Slim Client technology. Specifically, it automatically retrieves new forms as needed or as version changes are detected, and it caches predefined forms for faster further use. Cerasus supports both dynamic and predefined forms.
